The Pumpkins Have Arrived

Happy National Pumpkin Day! According to the news today is celebration of pumpkin anything and everything. A Sunday stop at the grocery store ended up with us bringing home six beautiful orange orbs. We didn't make it to a pumpkin patch this year, they have become over commercialized and pricey. This weekend was also our last minute yard touch up and decoration finishing.

 I think only the two youngest want to still carve pumpkins which means the teens will help them and actually do the carving. I have some wicked long black nails that would be difficult to scrape out guts, and my hands get extremely itchy.

These porcelain beauties were transformed into "Children of The Corn". Might be a bit much for my younger nieces and nephews but they are situated in a corner of the yard not in plain view.

Oh the tangled web we weave, hopefully the predicted rain will be light and my webs won't blow away.

 On Friday the Hubby brought home some lumber from work. He had a plan up his sleeve for a small yard addition that would work well for the Halloween party. {M} is such a wonderful little laborer.

I love my open  pumpkin corral! To add even more effect  the neighbors roosters were crowing and the baby chicks were chirping. I think our next move will have to be ranch of our very own were I can have lavender fields forever.

 I have a feeling many photos will be taken here. Halloween is just around the corner and ready to pounce at you with a" Trick or Treat" are you prepared?

The Crossbones Inn Welcomes You { H.H }

Casa Sol y Luna has been buzzing with excitement as each new decoration, monster, and things that go bump in the night are put into place. The clock is ticking and the numbers fly off the calender as Halloween creeps upon us. When it comes to decorating for Halloween I usually have the inside of the house and front porch done but this year {M} is having a Halloween bash for his 5th birthday so the back yard has been transformed.  We have snuck in some time to enjoy two new spooky releases.

Witches In Fiction 2015 ~ Death Rites & Remembrances

~ Eternal Flame ~

From darkness to light and light to dark
Candles are lite by a tear streaked spark

The path to the next is full of illumination
Where we once came from  the source of creation

Time here on earth shall pass but you will not
The heart holds your remembrance forever in that flight of a thought

Grasp tight to the moments as they seem so fast to flee
Eternally held sacred is your memory

Special thanks to Magaly for hosting Witches In Fiction 2015.

Haunted Humpday Throw Back ~ The Tragedy's of Dyer Lane

I was so excited to post some of my Halloween crafts I've been creating with you all on this Humpday...and then I realized my husband took the only charger that connects my phone to the lap top with him to work! I will post my projects as they are completed throughout the weeks and next H.H. I will reveal my yard {which is still a work in progress}. So without further ado I will pull from the vault " The Tragedy's of Dyer Lane ". Sorry for the extra click, mercury retrograde has not left me alone yet ......sigh.

Insane In The Membrane { H.H }

The time has come that my darling daughters no longer wish to be cute or sweet things for Halloween. Oh {L} does look so innocent in her lovely dress but wait is that an ax? Something sinister must be going on in the mind of young Lizzie Borden.

I acquired my last costume accessory for only $3.00 this weekend." Oh I look super fly", no really I feel like a fly with these ginormous Joplin glasses.

{E} was testing out her make-up skills for yet another Zombie. Her shirt says "Zombies eat Brains, don't worry you'er safe." I bought fake spray blood to gore up the costumes. A shame to mess up the lace dress , but we got to do it!

In a little more than a week Magaly's Witches In Fiction event will commence. I hope you stop back by to see what I have in store, and visit the other participants as well.

Happy Haunted Humpday filled with extra spice for the weeks to come.

Total Eclipse of the Heart

On the night of September 27th 2015 a Super Blood Moon Eclipse occurred. This was truly a magical sight to see. I took progressive photos with my phone( sorry for the low grade images), then pieced them together into this poster, turned out pretty awesome I think.

During the day I collected dried up flowers, sage, rosemary and lavender. A smudge stick and potpourri were my full moon crafts.

Moon shadow play was so much fun, and we discovered this by accident. I was on the front porch pondering and wishing, while {M} played with his new knight set for Halloween.

 The moon beamed her glorious light over my house till dawn where she still hung out for awhile as I started a new day.
