Interval Yoga 30 Day Challenge Halfway Point

So today is lucky 13 in the interval yoga challenge, almost half way. Have to admit this week has been mentally and physically tough. I've only done 3 days out of the week so far. When I have those days when I  feel I can't or don't want to do, I just don't. Listen to your body and mind, but get out of your head. My mind's been going none stop this week and I just need to slow down and tell it to shut up, and if I can reach that point the silence is oh so soothing. In the past when I had weeks like this one I used to reach for alcohol to calm my nerves and numb out. Just what I needed right, filling my body with toxicity, drowning my power and mentality to heal myself and just deal with sh*t. Proud to say I'm really close to celebrating 7 months of sobriety. Yoga and meditation has indeed helped me stay on the path of recovery

Interval Yoga 30 Day Challenge ~ Day 1

So far this Monday is going great. As I was drinking my coffee  checking my e-mails and messages I got a great surprise on Instagram. I had told Ali Kamenova I needed a spiritual change and was looking forward to the challenge and that I might just blog this new venture. She responded with " yes do it! I will share your blog". I was floored and did a little happy dance. The situation got very real at that moment and now it's time to do the work to begin the journey.

I'm starting of the challenge in the beginner level even though I practice yoga on and off through the years. Today will be an assessment of were my physical capability's lay.

The full weeks schedule can be found here.

Corner View ~ Routine

I have to admit since the kids have been out of school I've fallen out of routine. No need to bus around kids to and from school has me inconsistent about the flow of the day. Hot lazy and unbearable heat is also to blame. Great that today's corner view post is routine because this is the day that I finally fallen back into mine.

About 2 weeks ago I had gotten ill and was able to only lay in bed fevered for a week. Not doing my usual routine of getting up early, exercising and making proper nutritious meals to nourish myself are probably part of the culprit. I was out of balance and out of touch.

This very morning was the 180. I got up at 4:00 a.m. with a fresh perspective on life in general and the directions I want to go. Blame it on my gypsy soul to want to travel and endeavour and I feel that pull so much more these days. So far this morning I had ginger lemon tea instead of coffee and I got my workout done. Next up is house cleaning, meal prep, a well over due trip to the library with the kids, and hopefully a day of inspirations to lead me into the new. Routines are essential for flow and balance, and when  aligned your light illuminates and the world becomes brighter off your spark.

Motivational Monday Words of Wisdom

Monday's for most people are the start of the work, school, etc. week. I look to Mondays as a fresh start and motivational day to go full force into what I want to accomplish in the week, month, and future. Here's some wise words to start off this week ,

"OUR DEEPEST STRUGGLES ARE THE CATALYST FOR OUR GREATEST CHANGE"

May these words help and heal whatever may be on your heart and mind so metamorphoses can begin. Have a beautiful start to the day and take time for yourself in midst of the daily hustle.

Summer Body Transformer 30 Day Challenge Update

Kudos to all you out there who are taking the challenge and working on creating a healthy fit body. Unfortunately for me the challenge has come to a halt about a week ago. The muscles I had damaged before are reactivated again with pain. A soccer injury to my knee in high school is also bothering me. I know what is best for me at this point is to listen to by body and it's not so gentle ways of letting me know this is not the right way to achieve what I was working for. Continuing to care for  my body and health is of high importance.  I hope to get back in touch with yogic practices, and this time I aspire to fully immerse myself into the yogic path for I'm waiting for my nirvana enlightenment. To each his own and a blessing to you to achieve what is most nourishing to your temple.

My daughter snapped this shot of my unknowingly. I'm sitting on a cove overlooking the Pacific Ocean at Baker Beach, San Francisco. My thoughts were casting all that no longer serves me into the ocean, and absorbing the natural energies around me to help find  my truth, peace, and purpose. Working with new moon energy & seeking.

Introduction to Yogi Cameron's ____the one plan____

Have you ever had a book that you pick up read a few pages put it away for awhile and then  later pick it up again? The same goes for a course of study your so excited to start and then can't follow through with. This is my scenario with Yogi Cameron's the one plan. The off and on with trying to get grounded into this book had nothing to do with it's content, but my own. Until very recently I had my mind clouded often by the influence of alcohol. I wasn't a stumbling drunk or someone who started the day of with it but consumption still consumed me. Why I chose to be toxic in my mind body and spirit I do not know and I will not blame  hereditary alcoholism. There is such a truth I do know and that is  my husband and I have made a commitment to ourselves and children that we will never go back to that which was so blinding. Seems I have gotten of course but it leads me to getting back into the course. I picked up the book again, and now with my new found self I can begin.

Let me introduce you to the one plan.

Overview

What if you could follow a program that, like in so many other books, helped you get results in only a couple of weeks? As with these other programs, you could lose weight, attract more beneficial relationships, and find a greater state of balance in very little time. But what if, on top of all that, the program helped you create not just a fast change, but a permanent one? What if you had a plan that has all the benefits of a short-term overhaul but with the guidance necessary to ensure that it's the last program you'll ever need?
Over two thousand years ago, the Indian sage Patanjali compiled what we now know as The Yoga Sutras, a concise text that forms the basis of everything we know today about the philosophy of the yogic path. In The One Plan, Yogi Cameron lays out a fifty-two-week structure based on Patanjali's teachings as well as the ancient medical system of Ayurveda; it delivers the proven authenticity of an ancient path but has been adapted to take your life in the modern world into account.
As a practical and accessible guide to help you improve your life, The One Plan will provide you with specific exercises and regimens for crafting an effective daily routine, tips and reminders for becoming truly grounded in that routine, real-life stories and inspiration, practical tools for responding to life's inevitable struggles and setbacks, and even a section on eating the Ayurveda way. By following the One Plan, you will live a life of health, balance, and purpose.
Your commitment to the One Plan may last fifty-two weeks, but the changes you make will last a lifetime.

I started this new journey on Monday March 3rd 2014, and I'm excited to share this new aspect of my spiritual awakening with you.
