Mind over Matter - Matters of the Mind

Don't dull your own shine
Move bitch , get out of the way
today is not tomorrow, and tomorrow's  not yesterday

Wednesday's words of worry and wisdom. My morning intentions were originally not on a mind poetry post. There's  a pile of everything laying around ready to be cleaned up. Last night I went to read a book and the words were blurry. My vision was impaired and then the headache and slight numbness came about. I've had TIA stokes before, and the cause is still unknown. With the help of taking Motrin right away , it subsided and was not a full blown episode. I couldn't fully enjoy the Super Pink Moon hanging in the sky going in between luminosity and dreamscape cloud covers. The mind has a way of shaking you up when you least expect it, by literally shorting out your circuits. Maybe the moon was helping to rewire my progression into the 5th dimension.

Self confession time. I get in the way of my own moments of greatness every single time. The fractured young girl inside me reverts to thoughts of  putting myself out their creatively and wanting to have friends and being rejected in some form. There are a myriad of projects tucked into nooks all over the house. Soul work that needs to be shared with the collective. But I dull my own shine, I'm in my own way, for today is not tomorrow.......and tomorrow's not yesterday.

Rising To the Light Of The Moon

SUPER BLUE BLOOD MOON
January 31st 2018

I really didn't feel like rolling out of bed this morning, until I was reminded about a lunar eclipse going on. Then I rolled down a hill while I was looking to set up the tripod, don't worry me and the camera are fine it was more like falling backwards. Luckily I had a view over the trees and snapped some shots, as the sun was setting on the horizon she hide from me. Read ya later lovelies the moon has set in motion some house organizing for the day.

The Winds Of Change

{ Photo via the web }

October sure has been a whirl wind so far. I yearn for the above image to escape to. This Mama needs to just sit and  let all the swirl settle in my heart {in a gentle kind warm fuzzy assurance}. So here is what has been going on at Casa Sol Y Luna. We put our house up for sale last Monday and last night we chose a buyer. Yes folks in one week! Once potential buyers hit the back door the yard spoke to many hearts. In early November the caravan will be rambling along to our next destination South East Texas. My wonderfully awesome sister in-law is letting us land there as we scout out our next home and transplant ourselves into our new Texas homestead.

That my friends was the wonderful news, now for the stuff that pulls at my heart strings. We will be leaving my eldest son behind with the tribe elders to finish school and get together a life plan. Education laws very by state, and I'm blessed to even have the option for him to complete his senior year and graduate on time.  If we're amigas on Facebook you have some depth into what has been going on around here. So now onto Halloween bits.

Truly sorry I haven't been making the rounds on the blogs and participating in all the ghoulish spooky events occurring. No decorating in the home going on either, but my boxes of hallow decor will go to my sister to use for her Halloween birthday party, who knows maybe she will ask me to help spook up the place. One last trick or treating around my old stomping grounds will occur before we head out to the new frontier. I'm a ball of happy-sad everyday but have been holding myself together pretty well lately and I'm actually surprised with strength I didn't know exsisted until recently.

I leave you with a Harvest Moon pic, may the magic of October continue to fill the air and our souls.

Shadow Play

"Looking at the sun through a plastic light bulb cover, eclipse phase to the left"

Last Monday was the epic solar eclipse of 2017.  The weather was actually nice with a little breeze in the air. {M} and I made a viewing station out of a cereal box, and multiple items that would cast a circle to view the phases. My other children were able to see the eclipse through glasses at their schools. If we're Facebook friends you may have seen the trippy recording from my phone. Our local radio station 96.9 The Eagle was playing a list of songs having to do with the sun, moon, and space exploration. I was hoping to get some great photos with the camera but the whole not being able to look at and focus on the sun made that impossible. I'll have to redeem myself when it comes to a lunar Eclipse. Blessings to you all as we enter a new week, may it treat us all well.

Under The Super Moon

Celestial Night Illumination

Morning Glow

Just stopping by blogland to share my super moon pics and update you about Casa Sol y Luna. When I said November was time to  slow down and be cozy I could not have been more wrong, but in a good way! It all started with manifesting couches which in return has had a trickle down effect to home renovations. More in depth post to follow. I hope your all doing well and in great spirits. I shall be sneaking in visits to your blogs when I can. I must sign off now and go do yard work, two days of rain is on it's way.

Goodwill Hunting & Moon Musings

Wednesday was officially National Thrift Shop Day. How did I celebrate....well I didn't there was by no means anyway I was shopping that day. Yesterday however it was a go. I love to go Goodwill hunting in search of treasure. My intentions were finding a frame to fit my latest crossstitch project, and then from there well you can see for yourself I found some items I had too have.

This dress is my ultimate find of the day. All summer I had been admiring these tye-dye dresses on my many travels in town and beyond. When I tried it on and it fit so beautifully I did a twirl here and there and then looked at the tag. $6.00 dollars instead of $30.00 which was the sale rate everywhere else............score! I know summer is coming to a close and I'm going to wear the hell out of this dress because truth be told I feel like a mystical goddess in it.

I'm thankful that yesterday was a good one, everybody I came in contact with while I was out and about were blissfully nice to me and the day flowed unchaotic into night. Maybe it's the magic of the Full Corn Moon. For more astral insight Mystic Mamma is my go to and definitely worth a visit. I hope you enjoy the luna pic for my fellow lunitics. Do you work with the full moon? Maybe you do or don't but I have a little luna love note I would like to share.

Luna Love Note
It's time to get out of your head Alice. The viel of self doubt and other mind pricking painfull thoughts needs to be lifted. Oh, what is that luminous glow you have been hiding? That light needs to be shared collectively for humanity could use a boost, especially in these difficult times. Those everyday small good deeds are not small at all, they bond to the other and create a vibration. When the vibrations are strong enough there will be a ripple effect. Stay strong my beautiful friends, and I hope your weekend is full of moments that bring you joy.

Hello Summer

SUMMER IS OFFICIALLY HERE !

Time to find ways to stay cool in the sizzling sun.
Time to play and have adventures.
Time to enjoy nights outdoors.
Time to look up in amazement and be thankful that we are thriving and surviving.

Summer had officially started at Casa Sol y Luna when all four children were finally on Summer break from school last week. There is no consistent routine yet just go with the flow, and maybe it will stay that way this Summer, even though I'm a scheduled O.C.D. type of Mom. Summer Solstice was spent cleaning, swimming, and  first bee sting for {M}. Instead of having a celebratory  fire we ended the day with a trip to urgent care for {S}. Of all the dangerous stunts he does on his skateboard a simple miss landing ended  with a sprain and crutches. This could not have come at a worse time because tomorrow the kids and I are headed on a road trip to Santa Cruz for a 3 day vacation. We are still going because Mama needs a vacation. You can join our adventure by following my Instagram. I'm super excited because we will be experiencing two Summer Bucket List events The Lost Boys Movie on the beach & Blue Oyster Cult Concert at the Boardwalk.  I hope your summer holds some adventures!
