A Sunny Day In San Francisco

In my last post I mentioned a trip to San Francisco was on my mind, and we went! Saturday's Bay Area weather was a beautiful and glorious 70's with light coastal breezes. We started off the adventure by taking the kids to experience Haight Ashbury, which we realized is highly commercialized. I will do a separate post with all the photos. After trippin on Haight we walked across the Golden Gate Bridge, which will be another post with picture overload. After all that walking it was time to wind down and have lunch so we headed to the beach. Baker Beach used to be our favorite but the nudist took over. Our new little cove of the Pacific Ocean is China Beach.

I always leave my heart in San Francisco.

Jardin Sol y Luna

Just a little photo tour of what's growing on around here. We plan on  staying home and doing our own little thing for Easter Sunday.  Saturday has the whisper of adventure near the sea, San Francisco is calling my name.........time for a little day tripping.

Have a great weekend!

Spring Has Arrived

Spring has arrived in 2016 as it had 13 years ago on the day that I gave birth to my first daughter.

Inside our cozy home we had a humble birthday celebration for {E}.

What young woman doesn't love a rose ..... or a dozen.

German Chocolate cake with rainbow candles to wish on.

The sunset on a new season was amazing with it's hues of lavender, blush, and sherbet.

May the seeds of intention planted in the colder months start to sprout and bloom.

Sol Collective on a Sunday

Truth be told this is the first time we've stepped into this realm of art, culture, and activism. We have been wanting to make the journey for quite awhile now but always put it aside for "one day". Once you step into the building you will greeted with the current display " Whose World Is This" photography exhibition presented by Native Children. Exhibition runs March 12 - 31st at the SOL COLLECTIVE.

{ LIL SPEEDY THE GHETTO HIPPY }

Every second Sunday of the month is PLUGGED an open mic night where you can jam, dance, spit lyrics and kick back with like minded people and simply enjoy the vibes. My son wanted to give it a shot and I'm proud he got up there and spread his message through lyrical poetry. It truly was a night of collective souls!

A great surprise was in store for us that night. I was humbled to be in the presence of such legendary greatness. When he was presented my son and I immediately stared at each other wide eyed as we realized this is the closest we will ever get to the late and great Bob Marley. Ladies and gentlemen I present to you Devon Evans of "Bob Marley & The Wailers".

Lavender Zen

Finally after promising for a year the girls got there room makeover. When we first moved in 6 years ago the walls were painted a coastal blue and the room was decorated in a beachy theme. The girls are getting older and their taste and style has changed. Getting them to agree on color and decor wasn't as difficult as I had thought. So without further ado here is the girl's room that they designed together......not bad for 12 & 10 years old's I must say.

Can you believe this room was started and finished in one weekend! Here's the inventory break down.

March In Bloom

I've been enjoying the sunshine and scenery these past two weeks. Rain is on it's way this week and I welcome it with open arms. Hope the weather is splendid where you reside.
