Lavender Zen

Finally after promising for a year the girls got there room makeover. When we first moved in 6 years ago the walls were painted a coastal blue and the room was decorated in a beachy theme. The girls are getting older and their taste and style has changed. Getting them to agree on color and decor wasn't as difficult as I had thought. So without further ado here is the girl's room that they designed together......not bad for 12 & 10 years old's I must say.

Can you believe this room was started and finished in one weekend! Here's the inventory break down.

  1. What a nice space for your girls, Holly. And I'm lovin' the Lavender, as Purple is my favorite color. :) Ross is such a fun place to shop; I always find interesting things there. The initials are perfect for their shared room. You did a fantastic job over the weekend. Everything looks great!

    love, ~Sheri

by the way, I remember the Indian store in Folsom. I used to go in there all the time. Not sure if it's still there.

  2. Love the peacefulness and neatness of the decor. And wow, in just one weekend? You all rock!

You need to send me the recipe for keeping a girl's room so tidy. The Little Princess is a hurricane. She's really good at keeping her room clean, but goodness gracious the collection of maps, frogs, Star Wars posters and other things on her walls is overwhelming. Maybe I'll show her your girls' room and say, "Look how pretty and neat" to see if it sticks, lol!
