Calaca Love

As my witchy cinnamon broom above my front door suggest welcome to my contribution to Marfi-topia's Haunted Humpday. I've been dying to display and show off the skully jewelry I've been creating. The earring set is part of the purple skull set. I already posted these Frida inspired box top heads in a previous post but this is all about calaca love so I wanted to share them again. Fall is pressumed to be the settle down cozy time but around here my schedule has taken on many new tasks. Can I get a hip hip huzzah, I was hired at a magical Artisan Fantasy Portrait Shop inside the Texas Renaissance Festival!

Autumn Goodwill Hunting

Take me to the Mall and I could walk out with nothing, but a thrift store...well that's were the treasures are. Two Fridays ago instead of heading home to do the usual home stuff , I ended up at my favorite Goodwill. I did not leave empty handed this time, a Fall overhaul is more like it. Trinket boxes, jewelery, frames, flowers, basket, and vintage photography book of  San Francisco were part of the loot.

I found a whole new Fall wardrobe with a few warm season items mixed in. 3 pairs of jeans, 4 blouses, 3 tank tops, 3 t-shirts, 3 knit sweaters, 1 pair frilly boho shorts, a warm fuzzy never worn patterned sweater, and brown suede leather boots. I was in the zone!

The piece de resistance, my Halloween costume! I need a few more accessories but the bones are there. Can you tell who I'm going to reincarnate  ? Wishing you a wonderful beginning to this week. Do you still dress up for Halloween?

Haunted Humpday ~ Socks & Freak Sneak Peek

Ah yes we've found our way back to another Haunted Humpday. I thought I was ready to pack up all my summery wares and go full autumnal mode but my dear weatherman Cody Stark says otherwise. Here in the Sac Valley were looking at 95-99 degrees all week.  Not quite boot & gypsy skirt time yet. I did however recently pick up some Halloween inspired feet accessories.

Some classy skull & crossbones

What goes best with a candy corn dress? Jack o lantern knee highs of course!

How about these boots I got for $8.00 at the Goodwill last night. I couldn't help it, Goodwill officially stocked for Halloween on Sept.8th, and I had to peruse.

If your an American Horror Story fan series 4 premiers on Oct. 8th which happens to fall on Haunted Humpday, how perfect is that! Here's a sneak peak of "Freak Show"

~ Happy Haunted Humpday ~

P*S   I added Danny Elfman to my pandora list, Iv'e always loved Tim Burton movies and the music has a mystical halloween vibe.
