On the night of September 27th 2015 a Super Blood Moon Eclipse occurred. This was truly a magical sight to see. I took progressive photos with my phone( sorry for the low grade images), then pieced them together into this poster, turned out pretty awesome I think.
During the day I collected dried up flowers, sage, rosemary and lavender. A smudge stick and potpourri were my full moon crafts.
Moon shadow play was so much fun, and we discovered this by accident. I was on the front porch pondering and wishing, while {M} played with his new knight set for Halloween.
The moon beamed her glorious light over my house till dawn where she still hung out for awhile as I started a new day.
I really like the poster. Your phone's camera takes better images than mine, lol! Shadow play is an awesome game and gathering herbs and making smudge sticks are a lot of fun- fun I haven't quite had myself yet. In due time, in due time. :)
ReplyDeleteHolly, your poster looks really cool!
ReplyDeleteyour whole day and night sound like they were fun, crafty and very memorable.
thanks for sharing your experience.
Very cool pics, Holly. I didn't get a chance to see the moon that night, but so glad I saw it through your lens.

I love how your poster looks as if its bleeding red light.
ReplyDeleteMy Piano Man and enjoyed the Super Blood Moon lying down on our terrace. He had a few drinks and I overdosed on ginger tea (yes, I live dangerously like that). It was wonderful. We watched the moon, and every once in a while got to our feet to people watch (there is an Irish bar about a block from our house, and the moon was having a serious effect on the patrons, lol).
It was a good night... a very good night. ♥
Lovely shadow photos! We watched the eclipse...I keep hearing of high anxiety and crankiness that followed. Had a touch of that :)
