These photos were taken on a stroll along the Central Pacific Train Depot in Old Sacramento, California. If your a lover of trains and history our California State Railroad Museum is definitely worth a visit. May your excursions this weekend take you to marvelous places.
I can hear the hissing of the engines. Just marvelous, Holly! Thanks so much for sharing it with us. ♥
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet comment on my blog! What cool old trains! Kelleyn

ReplyDeleteHolly, these pictures just made my day. Yes, I'm a lover of trains, and the history is very interesting to me. I've never heard of this museum before. I'll have to go sometime, and I will check out the link right now. Thanks.

Those photos are beautiful! I am going to have to add this spot to my road trip ideas board on pinterest! Also, when I was younger my Dad said if you see box cars with a martini glass on them, it means that a guy who did some train hopping all over the country had ridden in or on that car. I used to watch for the martini glasses while stuck behind trains. I haven't seen one lately, but a lot of our box cars are Chinese or Canadian.
