The Midway Of August

It's hard to believe August is half way through already. Casa Sol y Luna (a.k.a my little house) has been bustling with the round up of back to school prepping, chaos, and general boredom. These children are ready to get back to school and frankly so am I. My oldest child {S} started high school at my alma mater on Thursday. It's bittersweet how fast these years fly by and this is a great reminder to slow down and embrace moments as they occur.

Here's my handsome freshman! He is very talented in many ways and destined for greatness. On Wednesday my daughters start school. {E} will be a 6th grader, and {L} will be in 4th. I have decided to home school  my 3 1/2 yr old son {M}. The craziness of drop offs and pick ups plus the fact he's my last baby are part of what brought me to this decision.  Hopefully I can incorporate our fun learning into this blogging.

Summer is slipping away. There are 37 days till Fall's official entrance. We've yet to go camping and finish projects that were day dreamed in early summer. Have I mentioned the garden? Well that folks is a sad joke, and I'll blame the drought and the fact that we conserved and let everything go blond. However I do still plan on trying for fall to get things growing, in the garden, spiritually, and in other aspects of life. I wish you all a beautiful and adventurous weekend.
